Just a mile or so off the Expressway Dinos Cafe in Bloomingdale is sure to have something for everyone.

When I’m super hungry I love coming here because they have rather large portion sizes and so many entrees to choose from, many under $10.

I met the New owner and she was absolutely fabulous along with my waitress Amy.  They were more than accommodating with my food allergies which is hard to find at a lot of restaurants. Thank you again P. And I definitely will be back to try your weekday specials under $7

*They also have amazing Skillets, Eggs Benedict and corned Beef hash which I’ve had previously!

Flourless Banana Protein Bread

Super Easy flourless banana protein bread.

3 large bananas, 2 large eggs, 2 cups of oats, 1/4 pure maple syrup, 1 tsp. Baking powder and a scoop or two of vegan vanilla protein powder. Yum. Bake 350 ~30-40 mins.

Here’s their 3 plans. I went with the 1st one for now but I might switch it later. I’m excited that there is a gluten free option!

And they donate one meal for every subscription is pretty cool too.

I’m learning that as a foodie sometimes smaller portions are perfect. So I decided to try steak tacos at a New place in the mall.

It’s nice that you can buy individual tacos for only $2.24 or a 3 Taco dinner with Rice, beans and Fountain drink for $9.99

The Salsa Verde is Muy Picoso but delicious!

Blackberry Market

Right in the heart of the quaint little downtown area of Glen Ellyn, Il. this cute little Breakfast spot is the perfect destination for a healthy bowl of steel cut oats with Black Berries and Walnuts. For only $3.50 this is a great alternative to fast food. Only downfall was it was a 20 minute wait with only a handful of customers seated and 7 employees behind the counter. 

Definitely would still recommend this spot because of the many food and drink options and very affordable prices.

NY Famous Pizza & Falafel Grill

Paneer Tikka, basmati rice and falafel for a late lunch. Reminds me of the texture of French toast😀
Nice staff. Not sure if they’d ever dealt with someone with allergies before but they accomidated nicely. I wanted spicy pili pili but it had soy. So we opted for just spicy sauce instead. I was happy with it. 

$9 Sunday meal 

(enough for 2 meals for me)
They also had a fresh smoothie bar with a lot of fun healthy options.something to check out next time.

Blueberry Hill Breakfast Cafe

​Went outside my Sunday Norm (eggs benedict) and ordered a big juicy skirt, steak 4 eggs, veggies, and gluten free pancakes. I could only eat a third of this. Lol 

Service was Great. Even on a Sunday at 8am. I sat down right away and food was prompt. Thank you Amy for explaining great gluten free low carb options. $9.86 before tip (with my $15 Groupon)
